DVF Fall 2010 Campaign

This Fall 2010, Diane Von Furstenberg wanted her campaign to really say something…literally! With phrases like ‘Feel like a woman’ and ‘Glamour is shine and confidence’, it’s really all about love, glamour, happiness and of course being a woman. The statement-filled campaign was shot by none other than Terry Richardson and features collaborations with Elisa Sednaoui and Missy Rayder. The concept refers to crossovers of masculinity and femininity but as usual, lady Diane still includes her signature dresses full of colour and glamour in between the jumpsuits and tuxedos introduced for the fall.

A big Happy Birthday to Elle magazine!

Elle is celebrating 25 Years of print with their October issue, and it’s definitely celebrating with a bang! A Limited amount of special edition covers will be produced and only available online, with a selection from Kate Hudson, Helena Christensen, Naomi Campbell, Coco Rocha and John Galliano, it’s hard to decide which cover to choose!

Congratulations to Lorraine Candy and the whole Elle team!

H&M Collaborates With Lanvin

It had officially been confirmed today that H&M and Lanvin are joining forces. We (like every other fashionista out there) are so excited for this, we think it could be one their best ventures yet.

We’re all aware of H&M’s previous collaborations with the likes of Jimmy Choo, Sonia Rykiel, Karl Lagerfeld and Matthew Williamson (just to name a few) and they have all been a HUGE success with stores selling out within minutes, not to mention the overnight queues. So we’re expecting this one to be another major hit! Hopefully there will be a few party dresses for the Christmas season.

Play With Anna & Grace

To mark New York City’s Fashion’s Night Out, renowned department store Barney’s, has commissioned Andrew Yang to create dolls of our favourite ever Vogue editors. The Brooklyn based artist hand painted the rag dolls to replicate Anna Wintour & Grace Coddington. In true couture style of course!

“I had to special-order Anna’s wig and cut it myself to get the bob right. And Grace’s hair was the right color, but it needed a perm.” Yang also talks of how he created the dolls’ outfits, “The outfits are my own take on their signature looks, it would have been unfair to single out specific designers.”

They will be auctioned off from the 31st August from Charity Buzz, with proceeds aiding the New York City AIDS Fund.

So we all know that ‘Aviatrix’ is HUGE for this fall and every fashionista out there is oozing for the Burberry Aviator, well if you can’t afford to spend so much on something oh-so fabulous we’ve found the perfect alternative – the sheepskin flying jacket from Topshop at £325.
